Zorba’s dance in 27, Snipetorp Street is an homage to a Greek frog that I had to kill and consume due to the hunger that I felt in Greece on my way to Europe, after I had fled as a political refugee from Iraqi Kurdistan to Norway. Despite the fact that I finally managed to reach my destination, I have lived ever since, over a period of 13 years following the event, with the bitter sense of guilt and remorse of consciousness regarding that frog. This is an homage to her.
