Similarity, No Guarantee
Similarity, no guarantee was a temporary art installation localized in Haakon Mjelvas pavilion from 1966. This pavilion is in Oslo, Grorud and now it is a taxi rank. The idea was to create a temporary/imaginary art gallery to test out a place for art practice, but in the same time give attention to the lack of art institutions on Oslo´s eastside. Qaradaki wanted to make this art gallery by covering various part of the pavilion. In the gallery he desired to arrange different types of artistic activities through performance, mini-seminars and video displays. This was done in both nighttime and daytime. The project was produced by the culture agency Mesén.
In cooperation with: Johannes Høie, Esther Marie Bjørneboe and Bhejat Omar Abdulla.
